I’m Brooke Forry. I’m a graphic designer and partner at Curious & Co. Creative, which I started with two colleagues in 2010. We design visual identities — namely logos, websites, and printed goodness. I’m married to the greatest guy who will do just about anything to make me happy and often indulges my innate need for lemon-curd filled cupcakes. In 2012 I became a mom to a sweet little guy we named Graham. I know I’m biased, but he’s kind of the cutest kid in the world. We live in a quaint town outside of Philadelphia, just a few miles from where I grew up.
I began blogging in 2007 under the pseudonym Mrs. Cupcake for a wedding blog called Weddingbee. After Nick and I got married in 2008, I decided to start Claremont Road (named after the street I grew up on) to share my everyday thoughts, experiences, and design inspirations. This blog has evolved a lot since then, and while it’s not what I’d call a mommy blog, most of what I have to share lately does relate to my new role as a mom. These days I’m all about quality versus quantity, so I post when I feel like I have something interesting to share. I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers, so I hope you’ll say hi or let me know your thoughts on something I’ve posted.
If you have a product or service that you think my readers might like to learn about, please don’t hesitate to contact me — I’m open to giving honest reviews if it’s something that applies to my life or family.
If you are looking for a speaker at a design school, conference, or organization, I’d love to hear from you, too! Most recently I have presented to students in a graphic design program in Philadelphia about landing an internship or job, working with real world clients, and the challenges of beginning and running a design business. I am open to other topics, as well, if it’s something I have personal experience with.
Thanks for reading!
