twenty-nine.

Today I am twenty-nine. For the first time ;-)

I don’t feel twenty-nine at all. And people tell me I look like I’m about twenty-three, which I have learned to take as a compliment (though when I worked at a University a few years ago, it got really annoying to continually be mistaken for a student). But I digress.

I still have so much I want to do before I’m thirty — so I guess it’s time to get cracking!

I’m taking the day off from work to relax, get a mani-pedi with my mom, perhaps buy myself a present or two, and have dinner out with Nick. I’m looking forward to a low-key day to celebrate entering the last year of my twenties.

Bye bye, twenty-eight!

  1. Happy birthday, Brooke!

Um, try teaching a class at that same University, and not having the public safety officer believe you when you need him to unlock a classroom because your students — all but one who are older than you — are waiting with you for the start of the session!

Hope you have a great day!

  2. Happy Birthday to you! Mine is on Saturday. I'll toast to you as well as I have some birthday bubbly. Enjoy the day!

  3. Happy birthday, Brooke! I'm turning 29 this year too and heck we BOTH look young! Let's make the best of our last year in our 20s!

  4. Happy birthday!!!

You know, Rob is now 31 and still gets mistaken as a high school student pretty often. Occasionally even a middle schooler. He's so tiny! :)
